Redmi Buds 5 have been launched in India, the latest true wireless stereo (TWS) headset from the Chinese electronic brand, features a semi-in-ear design reminiscent of AirPods and incorporates active noise cancellation (ANC) to minimize external noise by 46dB. Equipped with 12.4mm dynamic drivers, these earbuds boast a battery life of up to 38 hours. The device supports dual-device pairing, offers touch controls, and provides a feature allowing users to locate their earphones using their smartphones.

Priced at Rs. 2,999, the recently launched Redmi Buds 5 in India are available in Fusion Black, Fusion Purple, and Fusion White color variants. Starting from February 20, these earbuds can be purchased on Mi.com, Amazon, Flipkart, Mi Homes, and various Xiaomi retail partners.

The recently launched Redmi Buds 5 feature 12.4mm dynamic drivers with a frequency response rate ranging from 20Hz to 20kHz. These earphones are equipped with a 46dB ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) feature, effectively reducing external noise. The hybrid ANC function is stated to block 99.5 percent of background noise. These TWS (True Wireless Stereo) earphones sport an in-ear design and come with an oval-shaped charging case. Additionally, they incorporate AI-powered dual microphones.
The TWS headset provides three transparency modes, and users can access different audio effects such as standard, enhanced treble, enhanced bass, and enhanced voice with the Redmi Buds 5. These earphones support dual-device pairing, enabling users to connect two devices with the earbuds simultaneously. The company also mentions that the earbuds can be located using a smartphone.
The new earphones from Redmi feature Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and support SBC and AAC codecs. They also support Google Fast Pair. With touch controls, users can easily manage playback and noise cancellation. Additionally, they come with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. The earphones are compatible with the Xiaomi Earbuds app.
The fast-charging capability in the Redmi Buds 5 is asserted to offer up to two hours of playtime with just five minutes of charging. Quick charge support is claimed to provide four hours of playback time in only 10 minutes of charging. The earphones, along with the charging case, are said to provide up to 38 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The brand has integrated a 480mAh battery into the charging case. In contrast, the earbuds are equipped with a 54mAh battery. The dimensions of the charging case are 61x50x24.60mm, while the earbuds measure 29.52 x 21.44 x 23.45mm. The combined weight of the earbuds with the charging case is approximately 42.47 grams.
