On Thursday, Nothing announced the Ear and Ear (a) pair of TWS earbuds featuring the brand’s distinctive transparent design. Over the past two years, the company has introduced three variants of the Ear series, with the latest additions being the Ear a variants, marking the brand’s first Ear (a) release. Additionally, Nothing is looking to integrate AI with ChatGPT, which is sure to catch attention. However, most users will be interested in learning about the audio specifications and features offered by the new Ear TWS earbuds.

The Nothing Ear earbuds are available in black or white at a price of Rs 11,999, while the Nothing Ear (a) variant is priced at Rs 7,999. Alongside the standard colors, the Ear (a) also offers a new yellow option. These earbuds will be released for sale in the country starting April 22.

Nothing mentions that the design of the Ear remains akin to its forerunner, the Ear 2. However, the company emphasizes that the newer version excels in audio enhancements. Both sets of TWS earbuds feature 11mm dynamic drivers, 45dB ANC support, and facilitate swift connections via in-ear detection, which proves highly beneficial. The Ear boasts premium audio tuning and supports hi-def music codecs, aligning with its price point.
The Ear is rated IP54, whereas the Ear (a) is rated IPX2, suitable for handling water splashes. Pairing the earbuds is possible via the Nothing X app, and for users of the Nothing Phone, activating ChatGPT is as simple as using the pinch-to-speak mode. Despite the Ear (a) smaller charging case, it houses the same 500mAh battery as the Ear model, with charging facilitated through the built-in USB-C ports.
