Samsung introduced the much-awaited mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy M15 5G models, in India on Monday, 8 April. These devices represent the newest entries in the Galaxy M series, succeeding the Galaxy M54 5G and Galaxy M14 5G models.
Featuring an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, the Galaxy M55 5G is offered in several RAM and storage options and comes in two color choices. Key highlights include a triple rear camera setup and compatibility with wired fast charging.

Delving into its specifications, the Galaxy M55 5G showcases a generous 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen with an impressive 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.
The device houses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC paired with a groundbreaking 12GB of RAM, a feat previously unseen in non-flagship smartphones. Additionally, it offers 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
Operating on One UI 6.1 based on Android 14, the device comes with Samsung’s commitment to extended software support, offering up to four years of OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
In terms of photography, the Galaxy M55 5G features a versatile camera configuration comprising a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. Furthermore, its front camera sports a high-resolution 50MP sensor.
The device is fueled by a sturdy 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging capability. It supports various connectivity options such as 5G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C. Regarding pricing and availability, the starting model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at Rs. 26,999, while the higher-tier models with 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB configurations are available at Rs. 29,999 and Rs. 32,999, respectively.
Consumers can buy the Galaxy M55 5G from Amazon and the Samsung India website, where they have the option to select from Denim Black and Light Green color variants.
