After bringing the Canvas 2, Micromax now extends it Canvas series with the launch of a new budget smartphone — Canvas 1. Micromax Canvas 1 is announced in two colour variants — Matte Black and Chrome Black. Both the variants of the phone are available across all offline channels at Rs 6,999.
With the Micromax Canvas 1, the company is offering 100-day replacement promise on any hardware issue. “It is also the first smartphone to come with a 100-day replacement promise on any hardware issue (which is a part of the 1 year product warranty),” says the company.
In terms of specifications, the new Micromax Canvas 1 comes with 4G VoLTE support. The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixel resolution. The device sports a 2.5D HD display and delivers sharper images with high contrast ratio.
Canvas 1 runs on Android Nougat out-of-the-box and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor which is further coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The storage memory is further expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. With the latest software onboard, users will be able to get access to all the features that come with Android Nougat like – Doze mode, new quick settings option, bundled notifications and more.
On the camera front, Canvas 1 comes with an 8-megapixel camera on the rear with flash. While on the front, features a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The phone is further backed by a 2500mAh battery, which the company claim lasts for 7 hours. Now users can play games and multitask without any burden of battery drainage as Canvas 1 comes with a strong 2500 mAh battery which will last up to 7 hours,” notes Micromax.
To recall, Micromax Canvas 2 was launched back in May. The phone was launched at Rs 11,999 and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, a 360-degree identification fingerprint sensor, Android Nougat and is further powered by powered by a Quad-core 1.3GHz processor. Canvas 2 packs 3GB of RAM paired with 16GB of storage which can be further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. The device is backed by a massive 3050 mAh battery which claims to last upto 11 hours.
On the camera front, the Canvas 2 sports a 13-megapixel camera on the rear, while on the front comes with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The rear camera comes coupled with flash and different modes — such as Bokeh, Panorama and HDR.
